The Hypocrites are a dynamic indie rock band hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. Known for their catchy guitar riffs, infectious melodies, and unfiltered energy, The Hypocrites have made a name for themselves throughout the mid-south. Formed by Will Ellis (guitar, vocals), Jack Fowler (guitar, vocals), Ty Jackson (drums), and Ethan Assad (bass), The Hypocrites blend elements of indie, blues, and rock to create a sound that is uniquely their own. 

Since their formation, The Hypocrites have captivated audiences with their uplifting live performances, earning them a reputation as a must-see act in the local indie scene. Whether they’re playing in intimate venues or rocking out on your phone screen, The Hypocrites deliver a high-energy experience that leaves you craving more. 

The Hypocrites hit the scene with the release of their first EP, "Safety Net" in March of 2023. Tackling the motifs of maturing and leaving the past behind, the EP showed the bands diversity with tracks like "Reckless" and "Tryin". With the release of their single, "Open Up Your Eyes" in November of the same year, paired with its lively music video, The Hypocrites showed their care-free, high-spirited side. With more tracks on the way, The Hypocrites aim to capture a moodier, nostalgic sound that is sure to tug on your heart strings.
